THERE’S MORE TO THE GYMPIE REGION
THAN YOU MIGHT IMAGINE.

The Gympie Region’s a place of big hearts, big spaces and big ideas and we’re proud to call it home.

Only 90 minutes north of Brisbane, we’re right in the middle of the Great Sandy Biosphere, surrounded by real Australian nature and wildlife that you just can’t get anywhere else in Queensland.

The world’s largest sand island K’Gari, Fraser Island is right on our doorstep and just a stones’ throw away from our beautiful beaches and waterways.  Away from the coast you’ll find wide open spaces and a lush, fertile hinterland that’s packed with fresh local produce.

Whether you’re a family looking for a fun getaway, a couple looking for solitude or that thrill seeker looking for the next rush –

The Gympie Region. You’re welcome.

This project received funding assistance from the Gympie Regional Council’s Community Grants Program 2022/2023
